    Hello @Fitzy,

I’ve now got my new fresh install all working, but i want to load another version of windows 10 on a partition, but finding it impossible to boot from my USB, I’ve enabled Legacy in the BIOS and set it to boot from USB hard disk and/or USB CD/DVD drive, but nothing, i either get ‘can’t load windows as the partition is GPT, so I just Rufus too burn the ISO (GPT), but it still wont boot from the USB drive, I get an error saying ‘windows system32 boot winload.exe missing or corrupt’ 0000225 error code.

To check if your computer is Legacy BIOS or UEFI, type this into a CMD Prompt and press Enter . . .

    > bcdedit | find "path"

The result will be one of these . . .

    Code:

    path \Windows\system32\winload.exe

    path \Windows\system32\winload.efi

Perhaps the ISO is corrupted or the Bootable USB became corrupted when burning. Try downloading another ISO and burning it again to see if that helps.

The Disk has got to be either MBR or GPT, it can NOT be BOTH.

Once you have a working Bootable USB you might find this useful [ Create the New Partition for the installation FIRST ] . . .

    Hi Paul

thanks for you advice, I believe my laptop is UEFI BIOS, I’ve burned the bootable USB drive via Microsoft media creation tool and Rufus, several times with bothe applications on at least 6 different USB drives, but I will try your suggestions tonight and let you know what happens.
