    Component Store Corruption - Build version


    I realised I've got component store corruption because cumulutive updates are failing to install with error 0x800f0831. Last successful cumulutive update that installed is February KB4601319. So stuck on 19042.804. The following is the 32 missing packages that I need. I am assuming I need specifically a Windows 10 image with build 10.0.19041.662 for the first one and 10.0.19041.746 for the rest to be able to fix these? Whenever I run /RestoreHealth with the /Source command of the 20H2 or earlier version I get 'The source files could not be found'.

    Download SFCFix.exe and save this to your Desktop.
    Download the file below, SFCFix.zp, and save this to your Desktop too.
    Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
    Save any open documents and close all open windows.
    On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
    Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.



    SFCFix will now process the script.
    Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
    Close the File and then rerun:
    Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    Beautiful. This is actually what I was waiting for. After searching for quite some time on the web, I came across this SFCfix and sysnative but couldn't use the fix because obviously it was for different packages. The restorehealth failed but because now it is asking for 10.0.19041.746 of Containers-Client-Manager-Package. Only 1 corruption left to fix. Can you please provide the package?

    The SFCFix package is always created to match the problem.

    You should be very lucky if you can find one that contains exactly the data that is needed.

    If it is okay with Dism after the second package, please run sfc /scannow also.

    I don't have store corruption anymore and ran sfc /scannow. No issues. But the April cumulitive update is still failing but now with error 0x80073701 even after restart.

    Then you can only do this quickly:
    When trying to install updates from Windows Update you might receive "Updates Failed. There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later" with Errors: 0x80073701, 0x800f0988 (microsoft.com)

    When done try the update again.

    But I strongly assume that it won't work.

    Open the command prompt as administrator and run this command:
    Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\Windows\servicing\Packages\Containers-DisposableClientVM-merged-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.19041.746.mum

    What do you get then displayed?

    When you see: The operation completed successfully.

    Try the update again please.
