Should i roll back the recent version update or is there a fix?

I recently updated my PC as it was bombarding me with messages, took forever and when it was completed it kept signing me in a temp profile i sorted that out got my data back but it's made my computer slow as hell, file names don't show up or disappear if you hover over them, CMD will not open or PowerShell they open then close immediately, should i roll it back or is there a fix for this? you give no clue as to either the prior build or your current one.

In your position, and assuming you're referring to an upgrade, I would 'Go back to the previous build'.
You have 10 days by default to do that, extendable to 60 (see tutorial).

Then I would ensure I had a full current disk image of my O/S partitions, and assuming you mean an upgrade, download an iso of whichever my target build is, disable any security software or theme changes- anything that might interfere- perform a clean boot, check I've at least 30Gb free on C: and try upgrading just using the iso file with the internet disconnected.

Then see what I ended up with.

Apologies i tried to look at the windows version number but nothing is appearing as shown in the about windows image. but i shall try your method, But on windows specifications it says Windows 10 pro, Version: 20H2, Installed on 24/04/21, OS Build 19042.928, Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0
