Update Windows with WUA Manager

I reckon that WAUmgr likely just disables the service although I cannot test that. One of the reasons that I don't use it is because it cannot completely disable updates whilst allowing manual selection and download/ installation.

On another note: I'm still using Sledgehammer/ WUMT but other third party utilities seem to work including W10 Privacy.

Update check via Sledgehammer/ Wumt versus update check by W10 Privacy (with PSWindowsUpdate powershell module installed to configure fake WSUS server).

W10 Privacy isn't really for novices as it comes with extras other than manual windows updates.

Let me rephrase: I reckon that WAUmgr disables windows update service and only enables it once you lanuch the program and run an update check. I couild be totally wrong.

It seems that the service still runs.

Yes but i only let it run for test purposes. It would be better if someone who uses WAUmgr as the sole method of controlling updates to test.
