    Windows Driver Kit

I have been having trouble with the drivers for my HP 23-q113w Touch since February. I just installed the WDK and used it to delete ghost devices. Thanks to your forum. I would like to know if there could possibly be anything in the WDK that might help me with my touch screen drivers issue? I have been to the HP site and downloaded all the updates for my PC.

I have Windows Home 64 bit

    OS build is 19042.867

I have done a system reset, then a system restores but still have the same issues with the touch screen drivers. They say they are not connected to the computer. Code 45.

    Thank you all

Hi, probably best addressed on the HP site. A similar question is raised here: have you seen it?

    Your drivers page is here:

I see no driver listed specifically for a touch screen though.

Just as a side question. Is there a universal Drivers site that you know of, that is safe and free of malware, viruses etc on the downloads.

Hello once again. I have been all over the place trying to resolve this issue. I went to HP and downloaded the drivers, chipsets, graphics, etc that they suggested. It didn't help. I tried Windows help, everyone says the same thing. I have found quite a few people with the same issue as I have with the touchscreen. None were resolved. I thought it was hardware but sometimes the touch comes on, then when I have to restart it disappears. Sometimes my system says it's touch-capable, then, like now, it says it isn't on the system.

Now there isn't even an HID device saying compliant touch screen. I have had done so many updates, system restore and installing and uninstalling that my PC is now undependable. I had never had one issue with it before Feb 28thm when it suddenly ceased working. My young granddaughter was playing an online game called Roblox when it stopped working. I thought that might have something to do with it. Any opinions?

Does anyone know if there is any generic or universal touchscreen driver/software that I can install that would take the place of the drivers that seem to come and go?

I am willing to try anything because it is so frustrating. I had planned on this being my PC for quite a while. I am 70 and I won't be able to buy another PC in the foreseeable future.

    Thank you

Hi, around that time did you receive or apply a significant Windows update or upgrade?

Put another way, were you running a later build after that to the one that ran satisfactorily?

This shows where you would see a touch-screen driver:

Step 5 shows diagnostic steps, Please advise the result.

There wasn't any specific update that I took notice of. I wanted to roll back to before Feb 28th, but I kept getting a message saying I could only go back to March 1, so that didn't help me.

I went to the HP site about the touch screen problems. It didn't help me any.

Please perform the diagnostic check I found for you and read that document. Post #7.
