    Window Update


    Windows Update no longer works, when I open the Windows Update and Security page by clicking on Windows Update and the message 'There has been a problem: Try to reopen the settings later'Gabonik (Windows 10 64 bit.)

    Hi, History please- (so often omitted by posters ..)

    When did this last work?
    What changes have been made since it last worked?

    Let's start with the very simple options:
    If it stopped working recently (don't know that) then
    - do you have a System Restore point you can use?
    - or a disk image you can restore?

    Now: have you tried to block Windows Update by any means?

    Please post a screenshot of your Update History
    (this, if available, should show when it last worked).
    If it won't display, try the Control Panel list under Programs and Features.

    The forum prompted you thus (so we dont have to keep asking)

    Having done the above, try
    Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

    then retry the settings page and advise.
