Error 0x80070643 updating Microsoft Defender definitions.

    Greetings.

I tell them everything to put them in context.

On Wednesday I formatted my desktop PC, since it had not been maintained for a long time and some programs were already working very slow. I upgraded everything smoothly and proceeded to install my programs.

Unfortunately I made a mistake when installing ArcGis, it is a program that requires you to install the license before the software, and if the necessary steps are not done it simply does not work.

So I had to format again, but today when wanting to install windows updates, I get error message 0x80070643 in windows defender update. I thought it would be solved by installing all the other updates, but no. All other updates install successfully.

Thanks for responding, but like I said, I did a clean install.

Glad to read that it's sorted.

    Consider making free backup images:

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

    Hehehe ... I didn't make myself understood.

I was referring to the links that I indicated. The error occurs with a clean install. So those tutorials do not help me to solve the problem.

Thank you for your assitence. Sorry for not answering earlier.

Apparently my daughter found the solution. She says that she found similar recent cases by Google, and they solved it by updating Microsoft Defender from the same program.

This worked for us too and so far it seems that everything is working as it should.

    Sorry, it's only in Spanish.

He tells me that he also saw it on Reddit, but we couldn't find the post.
