How to Avoid Updating to Version 20H2 of Windows 10
All,
I have Windows 10 Pro running Version 1909. I was getting threatening notices from Microsoft saying that shortly (May 2021) they will no longer support or update my version.
I upgraded to 20H2 as requested & immediately my ability to network map to & from the other PC's on my home network stopped. FYI: all other Windows 10 computers on my network are running Windows 10 version 2004.
I found on the internet many complaints about this very issue when upgrading to version 20H2. The supposed fixes I found did not work on my PC. Because my PC is used as the defacto server (Everyone else's files/documents are stored on a share on my PC) I needed it fixed.
I backed out the install of that version. Upon restart I got the blue screen of death. Had to repair Windows. Upon restart, I was back on version 1909 and all is well again on my network......
Now to the questions:
1) Is it possible to upgrade just to version 2004 & NOT 20H2?
2) Is there anyone else who has had this same experience & successfully overcame the issue?
Thanks!
