Hi, 0x800F081F failures have previously been resolved after an in-place upgrade repair install in several threads after other things had been tried.

    Thanks dalchina for the tip.
As Win 10 isn't my daily OS (I use Win 7 & Lubuntu) and next month there will be a 2104 release, I'll wait and do the 2010 to 2104 upgrade.

    Hello
    Error code 0x800f081f CBS_E_Source_Missing.
Can you upload the Windows Update logs from the following path?

    C:\Windows\logs

Copy and paste the CBS folder on your desktop, zip it and then upload it on wetransfer and share the link here please.

    Friendly greetings

Iirc there were similar issues with .661. I had them as well. I restored from a backup to .630 and then the updates worked.

OIf you don't have a .630 backup, then as others have said... In-Place Upgrade.

    As I wrote on Post #3 I don't use Win 10 (I don't like it, I don't trust it, I don't think it's safe).
I won't waste my time (and yours) to find out why it doesn't update.
I'm going to see if it upgrade to 2104 next month and fix the issue.

Thanks to dalchina, zbook, Tekkie Boy and Ghot.

    Just a remark:
Before I start this thread, I tried windows update (that failed) and also went to MS catalog and downloaded the KB msu files. Both went well but at the end they failed.

I don't know what happened but running update again it did not asked to install KB4592438 or KB4023057 but did ask to install KB5000802 (that was successful)

In other words, somehow, it fixed by itself.

    Thanks for your feedback.

And I am happy to hear that the error has resolved itself.

    Take care!
