"Windows 10 will reach end of service soon". When is this?

    Greetings,

Microsoft Answers is down right now.

There is a new Windows Update Status icon on the Taskbar. When I hover the mouse over the icon, the yellow tip says "Your version of Windows 10 will reach end of service soon. Click to download a newer version of Windows 10 to stay supported." When I click the icon, Windows Update opens and says "You're up to date".

How do I update? When exactly is Windows 10 end of service?

I see someone else has this problem.

    Thanks,
    Shane.

    See these links:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lif...0-home-and-pro
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/faq/windows

To view the installed version / build > in the left lower corner search type: winver

    To perform and upgrade:
    a) download the iso to the desktop:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

    b) uninstall any of these non-Microsoft software:
    antivirus
    firewall
    drive encryption

    c) perform an in place upgrade repair:
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

    Thanks for the links.

Windows Update says "Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004
The Windows 10 May 2020 Update is on its way. Once it's ready for your device, you'll see the update available on this page." When I click the Learn More button it takes me to a Known Issues page.

I think I will wait for it to become available through Windows Update.

    Shane.
