Good, that's just the notice for end of support, not a license expiring.

As Dalchina says in post #5, you could download the ISO for the current version and upgrade manually with an in-place upgrade. And as Dalchina also says, it would be a wise precaution to make a system image before you do so (eg. with Macrium Reflect) just in case you run into problems.

But you may prefer to avoid the hassle and simply wait. Beware that you might suddenly find you do receive an upgrade. Be prepared for that.

Thanks. Impatience got the better of me so I bit the bullet and forced the update. Took a long time but at first sight seems OK. I’ll step through a score or so programs in the morning to check there are no issues.

As long as you haven't cleaned up the windows upgrade files or deleted Windows.old you have the option for the next 10 days to go back to your previous system. After 10 days Windows will automatically delete Windows.old.

If you'd like longer to check that all is OK, then you can extend this period up to 60 days, but you must do it before the 10 days is up.
