    Error downloading Cumulative update KB5000802

I'm having some trouble downloading KB5000802. I'm getting error:

"We couldn't install some updates using the the account your signed in with."

I'm signed in with the administrator account. I've rolled back to yesterdays Macrium image and tried again but continue to get the error.

I have rolled back again to build 19042.804 prior to the updates to try and fix this before attempting to download/install again. Can anyone help with this?

What was the result of rolling back to 19042.804?

Also, I don't know how many Macrium images you have, but in case your account has become corrupted, have you tried restoring from a Macrium image from back to the last time the Windows Update worked as it should?
    Maybe just before 19042.804.

I purposely made a Macrium image of 19042.804 just before installing this Tuesday's patches. The result in rolling back is the patch Tuesday updates are available to download again, except I keep getting the mentioned error when it tries to download KB5000802.

I've had no issues with Windows Update on 19042.804, only with this Tuesday's update. In previous updates my security software has caused issues, however disabling them before installing updates usually suffices. No luck today...

That is the update that is giving me the error through Windows Update. I have not tried installing it manually. I can try but am still curious as to the error...

I am curious too. I have noticed that some updates seem to install "easier" when saved to the desktop of the account I am on... and when I run the installer from there. (My only account is an Administrator account).

I didn't get any errors or messages when installing this one, but I did notice a 4-5 minute pause at about 20% and then a smaller pause at about 75%, during install.
The progress bar didn't have percentages... I just guesstimated what percentage they were.

It took me about 12 minutes total to DL and install this CU.
But I'm only about 2500 miles from Microsoft's house.

I will try manually installing it and reporting back.

IF that didn't work, you may have to manually DL and install the .844 patch, first.
You can find it's link at the bottom of the first post in this topic...

    KB4601382 CU Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.844 and v20H2 19042.844

Iirc, Microsoft has has started to include "Servicing stack updates" with the monthly updates. This will probably turn out to be a good thing, once they get the bugs worked out.
There WAS a SSU included with the .844 update. It might be required for the .867 update.

I also see that the .867 update requires the KB4598481 SSU, which I believe was included in the .844 or .804 update.
If not, you can find that SSU, here...

    KB4598481 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 v2004 and v20H2 Jan.12

You can also just check in Control Panel > Programs & Features > View Installed Updates to see if you already have KB4598481. I show that one as being installed on Jan 12th 2021.

@dalchina or @Try3 ...if you folks have any ideas about the error message in the OP...
"We couldn't install some updates using the the account your signed in with.", feel free to jump in.

I've only ever run one account on any version of Windows, and that was an Admin account, so I have no experience with that kind of error message.

The only thing that even comes to mind is that maybe the OP installed different updates (CU or SSU), on different accounts, and that somehow made a difference?

Hi, beyond searching for the error message e.g.
    https://www.kapilarya.com/we-couldnt-install-some-updates-using-the-account-youre-signed-in-with

We couldn't install some updates using the account you're signed in with
    look reasonable if unwieldy

    - the error msg more correctly being
We couldn't install some updates using the account you're signed in with

    - it's not one I've experienced, I'm afraid.
