THORdalchina, do you have a copy of that sledgeHAMMER? :)
Download Sledgehammer - MajorGeeks
Sadly, I have not seen the author, pf100, for a year on TenForums since the release of Sledgehammer 2.7.0 on March 24, 2020.
Note that Sledgehammer will disable the Windows Update service and will not automatically check for updates.
Personally, I, haven't had Windows Update trash one of my PCs before. Sure, there have been times when I had to fix a few annoyances that resulted from feature upgrades, and some bugs that have affected my workflow only to a minor extent every once in a while. I've always managed to either fix these problems reasonably fast or work around them effectively. That's just because the 'metered' connection prevents automatic updates in such a particular way that is causing the least amount of trouble for me. It never has downloaded any updates for me automatically. I use a simple shortcut that points toC:\Windows\explorer.exe ms-settings:windowsupdate
and that's it, the 'metered' setting prevents Windows Update from downloading available updates until I use the shortcut.
Before the Fall Creators Update came out, I was using two simple batchfiles that I had written to prevent unwanted automatic reboots back then, but they were no longer necessary on Fall Creators Update. I moved from a laptop that came with Windows 8.1 Home OEM to a new laptop with Windows 10 Home OEM in January 2018 so, I've only been using Windows 10 for a little over three years. Therefore I was able to immediately, as soon as I got Windows 10, set my Ethernet connection to metered by using Brink's .reg file, as I had skipped the annoying first part of the Windows 10 'era' while being well aware that Windows 8.1 was still far less annoying than the earliest versions of Windows 10. The official registry change that prevented Windows 8.1 from wanting to upgrade to Windows 10 was 100% flawless. I'm only saying this because a lot of people kept getting theirself in trouble all the time, either because they stuck with Windows 7 for too long after Windows 8 had come out or because they moved to Windows 10 before Windows 10 had finally become stable.
The reality is that I don't need to block nor need to uninstall updates. Blocking them never has fixed anything for me,. And I never needed to uninstall even just a single update. Ever.
I use Windows Automatic Update Manager, and I have disabled Windows Update service.
Option 6 and 7. And yet the Windows Update folder in Windows>Logs>Windows Update still looks like it`s trying to poll for updates and builds a list, how do we stop this ?

Windows Update Medic Service (WaaSMedicSvc) can re-enable the service.
It has built a list in my folder too, but nothing except definition updates has been installed as per the following events.

My WUMT does not find optional updates either.
I take it to mean "No automatic updates, period!"
