    Cumulative Update KB3081444: Success!

Microsoft just released cumulative update KB3081444, and after the reboot loop and uninstall error from KB3081424, KB3081436 and KB3081438, the latest finally installed without issue on my machine. Try checking for updates now, as it just came across. Hopefully most won't have to edit their registry now, which can be risky.

No Success here , all the cumulative updates are failing with me (kb3081444 no different), reset loop then undoing changes error.
i have read and tried all suggestions on every forum i can get in to ie registry has no erroneous entries, reset Wu with batch script, downloaded standalone versions no joy , i am reaaly *****d off with this, the only "help" microsoft give you is check the forums , well i have and ive run out of options . i did have two pc failing with this but the cumulative update prior to this latest one worked on one of them. i have never had any serious problems with windows but this hassle ive had over the last week or so has me looking at the price of macs , unreal. Only option not tried is a clean instal , how do i do it and do i lose everything ?
just find it ridiculous it is coming to this , btw this problem is a lot more widespread than some think ,.

Just download Windows 10 using the tool provide at this page Windows 10. The tool provided will download the software image and provide you with two option
    1. to burn a dvd
    2. make bootable usb drive.

You should take a complete backup of all the important files on a external storage device, as clean install will wipe your hdd.

Thanks for response bud , i created a bootable usb drive as soon as i upgraded from 8.1 to windows 10 but ive read so many others say a clean install didnt solve the update problems it will really be a last resort if i try it.
my real worry is my windows 10 is activitated and legit but i dont know what using this disk is actually going to do to my system as it is , i at least get system up after numerous reboots and time , i downloaded the update blocker tool and able to block the update installing automatically albiet temporarily but dont want to continue having to block any comulative update that comes up in future and im just not confident anymore that microsoft are able to fix this.
again thank for response bud i do appreciate any assistance here.

This update slowed my system down. For instance FF took ages to load until I uninstalled the update. Then I installed the standalone update and all is well again.

Not saying it will work, but Microsoft released kb3081440 as a fix for the update/loop error. Have you tried it?

Just installed the update on my test rig to check you have correct instructions

Assuming you've downloaded the correct version (32 or 64 bit). Inside the main downloaded MS Folder there is a single *.cab file (cabinet file). I put that cabinet into a new folder in location c:\TempCab, then I did do the following:

    Open Command Prompt (admin)
Type the following (without the quotation marks): "DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:c:\TempCab\<insert file name>.cab"
    Let it finish
Make sure it says "the operation completed successfully"
Type "Exit" to quit command prompt
