Can't find my Computer ID for product activation

I have thoroughly searched both Seven and Ten forums, but can't find a post that describes how to find my workstation's "Computer ID" with success. It's homemade w ASUS Z9PE-D8WS dual socket mobo with Zeons and Windows 7 Ultimate x64. ((After trying numerous times, can't get my 10 copy (both USB stick & ISO) to install)). So saddled w Win7 for time being.

I need to activate Vegas Pro 16 NLE software (activated thru Magix), which asks for: "ComputerID". But I can't find an ID that works. I've tried various DOS commands (including “ipconfig /all”) and used IPv4 & IPv6 values but no success; and don't really know if those strings are even the ComputerIDs they want. I'm assuming they want a unique number that specifically identifies only my computer, obviously.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Have you looked in Settings / System / About where you should see both "Device Name" and "Device ID"?

A guess: maybe the PC's MAC address? How do I find my device’s MAC address? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

I admit to some curiosity about how you have acquired some software without the instructions for activating it.

Had you checked with Showkey, Speccy, or Belarc?

    I agree with zbook . . .

    > Belarc Advisor - Shows in your browser.
    > ShowKeyPlus - Win10.Guru - Toolkit Item.
    > Speccy - Download Page.

    I hope this helps.

Did you pay for Vegas Pro 16 NLE? What do you mean exactly by activate through Magix? That sounds kind of sketchy.

All Vegas and MAGIX software requires a MAGIX login in order to register and activate it. Here's how it's supposed to work:

    Technical support - MAGIX

Please post a screenshot of the dialog that asks for "Computer ID"

Magix activation dialog asks for "serial number" [see link posted by Bree]
