    Update - Windows screwing up?

The last update went in fine but colour settings have gone a bit loopy. Suddenly my colours on games and desktop were really vivid - a real pain on the eyeballs. Eventually fixed that but lost my custom settings. Secondly my task bar along the bottom of the desktop had gone white but nothing will let me change it. Looks a bit windows 7 ish to me?

In setting/colours/taskbar there is a greyed out switch; this could be it? The three mentioned have all gone white

Go into Settings, click "Personalization", "Colors" in the left window and in the "Choose your color" box, select "Custom". Then, in the "Choose your default Windows mode" box, select "Dark", then scroll down and check the box marked "Start, taskbar and action center".

Brilliant. Still does not answer the question about why the update screwed it up but hey - THANKS. Default windows mode is where I lost it.

Have you uninstalled the last update to see if reverts to correct settings?

Negative. I have solved the immediate problem, But have noticed other parts are dark now, when they were light. So it provided a sort of solution, but not a total answer. At least that blinding white has gone. My task bar is now a pleasing green. My start menu, for example, was black, but now its green, same as my accent desktop background colour.

Long as you're happy, all that matters!

All my folder backgrounds had gone black. So I switched buttons off, then on again, and it went back to default - weird.
