Thank you !!! It's appears to be fixed. Tried win update numerous times and no more error. I used Majorgeeks mini-tool I hope and think it's solved.

It added the word You to the url:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930 is the correct url.
I find the MajorGeeks update blocker the best between the two choices.

    @lucydog

    Hello

I've seen that you still seem to have problems.

Please upload the Windows Update logs from the following path:
    C:\Windows\logs\CBS

Copy and paste the CBS folder on your desktop, zip it and then upload it on WeTransfer and share the link here please.

    Friendly greetings
Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my native language.

I'm back to having this problem after having first had it after an update, back in 2020 .

The Message was prevalent in various online searches and the only way I got rid of the problem, back then was to Use the MS Download tool to download & reinstall W10.

That was successful and has worked until the recent new re-update of the same level, this month whereby the problem came back.

Looking more closely at the message, and then the problem, I am now relatively sure that the message is right.

    Two Things:-

    1) I only get the error when (W10) is downloading to (i.e updating) my Toshiba laptop.
Since Toshiba seems to have given up on driver updates, are MS using a stored copy an older Toshiba Driver? If so, the driver already on could well be "better" than the one being offered.

    2) I only get the error on the Toshiba Laptop. Never had it on my Dell Desktop. Not seeing it happen on non Toshiba devices.
Recently asking about this on other Fora and , the replies are few, but, again, only seeing Toshiba devices.

Other forum readers might like to comment on this ?

Like an idiot, I missed out the error message!
