    Hello,
    1) What is the difference between Software Center and Windows Update ?
    2) Can use these two simultaneously?

    What is Software Center?
    Where did it come from?
Does its maker's website not give you sufficient information about it?

In my understanding, software center is similar with windows update but managed by organization
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem...oftware-center

Information in this site is sufficient.

If I update my windows using software center, does the result the same with windows update? because:
Eg, I have vulnerable stuff detected in my windows "Microsoft Office Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities (MS16-133)
", I did run the windows update but the vulnerability is still detected.

Software Center is used by Microsoft's Enterprise customers for deploying software and updates to their managed PCs. If you have it installed then you must be using a company PC, managed by your IT department.

    Microsoft said:
Software Center is an application that's installed when you install the Configuration Manager client on a Windows device. Users use Software Center to request and install software that you deploy. Software Center lets users do the following actions:

    • Browse for and install applications, software updates, and new OS versions
    • View their software request history
    • View device compliance against your organization's policies

You can also show custom tabs in Software Center to meet additional business requirements.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem...d/introduction

The Configuration Manager, of which the Software Center is a part, is one of a number of tools an organisation may use to manage their PCs. Windows Update is another. Which is used is up to the organisation's IT department.

Servicing tool Can updates be deferred? Ability to approve updates Peer-to-peer option Additional features
Windows Update Yes (manual) No Delivery Optimization None
Windows Update for Business Yes No Delivery Optimization Other Group Policy objects
WSUS Yes Yes BranchCache or Delivery Optimization Upstream/downstream server scalability
Configuration Manager Yes Yes BranchCache, Client Peer Cache, or Delivery Optimization. For the latter, see peer-to-peer content distribution and Optimize Windows 10 Update Delivery Distribution points, multiple deployment options

    Thank you!

Does it go to the same direction as Windows update? in my post re. vulnerability, I updated from windows update but the vulnerability is still detected.

On other computer with the same specification, Can I copy downloaded updated from Software Center to be deployed into another computer?

That security bulletin was issued in 2016.

If the update is not being issued to you then you should ask your IT department why not.

Are both computers business machines, or is the one with the vulnerability your own personal machine?

If it is a personal PC, then make sure 'Receive updates for other Microsoft Products when you update Windows' is turned on in Windows Updates > Advanced options, then check for updates again. If it is a business machine you should take it up with the IT department.

Ya, so I need to come to IT team

So, if my computer's windows update is managed by Software Center then I cannot update my windows using Windows Update, is this correct?

There will most likely be a Group Policy in place specifying the company's own server as the source for Windows updates in place of Microsoft's public update servers. The updates available to you would then only be the 'company approved' ones. If that particular update is missing from their server it's something you should report to IT.

    Microsoft said:
This setting enables you to specify a WSUS server on your network that will function as an internal update service. Instead of using Microsoft Updates on the Internet, WSUS clients will search this service for updates that apply.
