    Driver optional updates


    I just noticed Nvidia driver listed while I have an Intel display adaptor. Anyone try enabling "Do not include drivers with Windows updates" in the group policy editor? Not that I don't trust microsoft but!

    I use Winaero Tweaker to block driver updates. It's worked so far... about 7 months now.

    And on each page (right side) there is a link that shows you how to do the tweak manually if you want.

    Use Windows Update MiniTool to hide unwanted drivers.

I finally got the 2004 update on this PC but now it shows a list of optional updates. I'm not sure they even apply. The 4 Intel ones don't really have any info at all. The Realtek one I'm not sure if it is an update to what the driver already in...

Lately Windows has been offering a couple of drivers for hardware I dont have on my Insider machine. They say I have a Xeon E3 when I dont (its a Skylake 6700k). Is there a way to get these cleared? Version 19635.1. 281640
What happened to Optional Updates?

Does anybody know what happens to what (in Windows 8.1 ) were called "Optional Updates" in Windows Update? Are these pushed automatically along with "Important Updates"? If not, how do we get them?
