Stop Windows Feature Update v2004 from installing - Windows 10 Pro

I have Windows 10 Professional and v2004 Feature update installed but caused sleep issues and problems with some of my apps so I rolled it back and went to settings to deferred Feature Updates to 180 days. BUT the next morning [today] v2004 again downloaded and awaiting install after reboot!
WHY? Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to do this with Group Policies instead. Can I prevent the downloaded version from installing again or do I have to install and rollback AGAIN? Very frustrating!

    Hello @y2ken,

Are you talking about something like this . . .

    > Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

    I hope this helps.

Feature updates are now optional, and have a separate "install" button.

The only time you might be "force upgraded" to the latest version is if your current version has reached end of service (18 months total), or your current version is getting close to end of service (that timeframe is somewhat arbitrary).

Look into using Windows Automatic Updates Manager, Windows Update MiniTool, or Windows Update Manager.

    WAU Manager

Download Windows Update MiniTool - MajorGeeks

    Download WuMgr - MajorGeeks

They provide control over updates similar to how Windows 7 did.

Thanks for helping! Luckily I have Windows 10 PRO so I was able to use the Group Policy Editor to delay Feature Updates.
Here's how in case someone else needs/wants to do the same.

Group Policy Editor > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Updates > Windows Updates for Business > "Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received" > Enabled > Options Menu > Semi-Annual Channel Option > Select numbers of days to defer upgrades [up to 365].

    Thanks again!

PS: I have v1909 of Windows 10 Pro with an 'end of life' of 5-11-2021 so I shouldn't have been 'forced' to install.
