    I don't want to be rude and get in the way, but may I ask what error code is displayed after trying to update?

    Open the Windows Settings - Update & Security - Windows Update and then click in the right side from the window on View update history.

    Sorry, your post isn't so clear. If the update is failing through Windows Update, it's probably not ready for your PC. How / where did the update come from?

    And yes, it would help to post a screenshot of your Windows Update screen showing said update and what it's saying.

    I downloaded the 20H2 update ISO directly from Microsoft, extracted and installed. Piece of cake. Windows updater just didn't work, and, yes, it was offered...


    So, mark the problem solved.

I'm running Windows 10 build 1909 and that is running good. Do I REALLY need to update to build 20H2?? I've looked around about 20H2 and can't find a reason that suggests I have to update. Thanks for the help

I have always gotten these kind of updates very fast. So far I have not received the 20H2 update. I have all available updates up to this point. I know MS won't send me the update if there is a conflict with my system. Like I said I've never had...
as part of check for updates program built into win10. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 I did this on a PC not being offered the update, and it worked flawlessly.
20h2 update freezes at 100%

Did anyone get a CU update for 20H2 to brink it to 19042.572 to get it ready to upgrade 2004? Seems like the next step Jim :cool:
