Manually trigger Windows Update to avoid .net CU previews

    Hello everybody,

for some months now, the manual checking of new updates unfortunately leads to receiving available .net CU Preview Updates.
If you keep your fingers off the "Check for updates" button, this is not the case and you get "only" the last CU installed.

Is it somehow possible (via cmd, PS...) to trigger the check for available updates "in the same way" as Windows does it every 17-22 hours?
Especially after e.g. a new installation I want to search for updates and install them, without having to wait for Windows to do this itself.

    Thanks and greetings,
    Martin

Try using one of the free utilities so often mentioned here and elsewhere to manually check for, select (check box), apply, hide updates and more e.g.
Windows Update Manager (Wumgr) - try Google.
