Stick with 1909 or update to 2004?

    Not true. Did you note I said this:

    These block Windows Update, then you use them to manually scan for and select updates.

    Free utility Option 7.
    Someone mentioned a minor bug encountered recently- alternatives:
    Windows Update Manager Wumgr - Google
    Sledgehammer - Google (a bit more technical - I use it).

    And you can find tutorials to disable a specific update (the utilities can do that - 'hide' them).

    Look into Windows Automatic Updates Manager, Windows Update MiniTool, and the aforementioned Windows Update Manager.

    I would not recommend Sledgehammer.
