    Windows Update/Microsoft Store erroring out

    Hello there!

I've recently noticed issue with Microsoft Store/Windows Update service being unable to download anything.
Microsoft Store downloads typically do not finish or wind up being interrupted by 0x80D03805 code, which formerly used to be 0x80072F8F before I performed in-place upgrade to a beta channel build via Media Creation Tool.
Windows Updates stay at 0% indefinitely.

Besides reinstalling Windows, I've tried pretty much everything out there suggested for this type of problem: changing DNS address, resetting WU services, following local tutorials as well - nothing helped, so I would appreciate any help with this.

@Velheor, hello and welcome to TF

Have you tried these methods: How to Reset the Microsoft Store App in Windows 10

    - - - Updated - - -

Also run sfc and dism to check for/repair Windows install problems:

From an admin command prompt or powershell:
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    Code:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

Also try running the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter and Windows Update troubleshooter please.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try resetting Microsoft Store app, both ways. Seems like the issue is more global, since it affects Windows Update service too.
Sfc/dism/troubleshooting - all of this has been done. Nada.
I've also reverted to 2004/19041.508, now I get this.

Do you have a 3rd party firewall program, running? If so, have you allowed the necessary Microsoft programs, access to the internet?

Are you using any 3rd party firewall or VPN or ran any apps to "clean"/disable Windows services?

If none of the above works, I would suggest making a full backup Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect then Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade where you can select to keep your files and apps.

I had NordVPN installed, got rid of it just to be sure. Apart from the default Windows Firewall, which is turned off, I don't think I have anything that can mess with incoming connections. Also I can download stuff manually from here, if that means anything. MiniTool didn't work for me, outputs same error.

A couple of things you might not have tried here:
Yep, I've tried all of that. I believe there were a few errors during execution of Reset WU bat file, not sure how critical is that.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade where you can select to keep your files and apps.
Tried that 3 times - no luck. Now that I've gone back to 2004/19041.508, I get just the 0x80072F8F code. Time zone is properly set and synced with Microsoft servers, but I'll try looking up other ways to target this specific error.

I would download and run the free tool Windows Repair All In One.

Download Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Portable - MajorGeeks

I used it recently to resolve a similar issue on a Windows 10 2004 system, that an in-place upgrade could not.

Make a disk image backup first.

I've ran the Windows Update preset for this program, it just changed the error code back to 0x80D03805, also Minitool mentions 0x80240022. Are there any other repair sequences not included in that preset that could potentially help? Or should I just run all of them?
