Start up screen frozen after installing windows 10

    Hi,

Can someone please suggest a solution:

I've a sony laptop cum tablet (ultra book) with intel core i7 processor. I updated to Windows 10 today (previous version Pro windows 8). The install was successful but after the install my start up screen started flickering. I shut down and restarted the laptop and now the opening screen is frozen at the log in page which says- 'fast access, face recognition'. The camera is also not working to recognize the face. I'm also not able to log in manually. (I used to have face recognition mode with pro windows 8)

The laptop is not shutting down any more and don't accept alt+cont+delete command.

    Kindly suggest.

    Regards

Thanks, could be. But what to do at present. I'm just waiting for the battery to be drained so that laptop shuts down. (can't take out battery). I'm hoping freeze may get over, once laptop is restarted.

Have the software on it for sure as this is what comes up from that message as reasons for it.Can just remove the battery, think of way to kill this process so able to get into windows and remove it, somehow get into safe mode. Redoing the upgrade is only going to reinstall this service and if knew Windows 10 was activated can try clean install to get rid of it, but also get rid of all other added software.

If this is truly only issue it is because Camera not being recognized to use fastaccess as Sony uses this also

Thoughts of seeing how to get into Safe mode if this will bypass FastAccess, then you can try to disable it through articles above.
One way not sure will work, since able to get to the Start screen is in Windows 10 is to use the Shift + Restart combination. When clicking restart same time holding Shift key, some try Shift +F8
