Fall update? Maybe this Patch Tuesday?
Cold it be that the Fall Update will be this Patch Tuesday because of the normal monthly update round? Or later? Or sooner?

The Spring update tends to be released in May.
The Fall update tends to be released in November.
Note:
The ISO for the Fall 2019 update (Version 1909) was released on November 12, 2019.
The ISO for the Spring 2020 update (Version 2004) was released on May 27, 2020.
It's my guess the Fall 2020 update (Version 2010) will be released in November.
It's going to 'fall' down on our heads when we least expect it to. I just recently updated to 2004 so I will wait a while to update. It's apparently scheduled for an October release according to preview reviews. But isn't this update like a service pack for 2004? so it has the same updates?
so far the answer is NO
this Patch Tuesday of October is the 13th (10/13)
and a new 20H2 build has recently shown up onto the beta & release preview channels

i have held off installing 2004, will i have to install it to get the fall update?
No. If you have updated to 2004 then the update to 20H2 will be a minor update using a small enablment package and there will be no windows.old created. This is the same as the way that 1903 updated to 1909.
But if you stay on 1909 until 20H2 is released you will be able to update directly to it. The update will take longer as it will need to be a full update with the usual windows.old.
