Latest Windows Update not installing again

I enjoyed last months update for Windows 10 2004 because it wouldn't install. I thought I went through the whole nine yards and gave up eventually by hiding the thing.
I was so hoping this months update would install but the same thing. On two other computers, it installed ok but this one, not so.
Obviously, there's something awry somewhere on this machine. I've tried the usual fixes, downloading from the Catalogue but alas, to no avail.
    Any advice?

Hi, you can try resetting Window update (see tutorial).

You can try running the WUpdate troubleshooter.

    Basic checks:
    - disk e.g. HD Tune v2.55 free
    - run SFC /Scannow from an admin command or Powershell prompt.

If that doesn't help, you can try performing an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any upgrade. 2004 iso needed - tutorials available on download and in-place upgrade repair install if needed.

The error message and number could help- feel free to search using that to find solved cases.

I've tried everything but the In Place Repair. But before I do that, I looked at this.
How to reset the Windows Update components on Windows 10 • Pureinfotech

Being a novice and less, I'm looking at the "How to reset Windows Update using Command Prompt"and wondering if I do everything below that line all at the same time or is it one solution at a time.
If you get a chance to look at that (or someone else) then advice on that would be appreciated.

Thanks for the efforts but that failed up too. I think it's an "In-place repair" but I read in Brinks instructions about "Secure Boot" being disabled. I went into the BIOS and under Security but there's nothing there about enabling Secure Boot or disabling it.
Would I be safe having downloaded the MediaCreation Tool, just to start it and let it do its thing?

Before you give up... try WAU Manager. Option 7, here:
Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

I'm using it myself, and it works really well.

The media creation tool will let you download an iso file for build 2004.

Is that the one which makes the SoftwareDistribution old and create a new one? If so, I've tried that near a dozen times. I'm still going to try it though while I wait for your reply. I seriously appreciate you coming in on this.

I've got that on my system but am wondering about the Secure Boot which I am not able to find in the BIOS. My question as being less than a novice in this, do I just start the fix from this Media Creation Tool and let'er rip?

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/

    search for in-place
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Short version: (which I have posted numerous times):
Download iso file (or use one you have for current build)
rt click iso file, click Mount
Open new drive letter in file explorer
    double click setup.exe

I understand from the Tutorial, that I can save that file to my Desktop, click on it and let it do its thing. Well, of course choosing whether to do a 32 or 64 bit. What am I missing other than my right mind?

Does this make the SoftwareDistribution old or am I off base? Also, what do I do when I open up this program? Do I disable or enabled updates? I'm totally confused!
