Thanks again for your efforts. Again, if I right click on the MediaCreationTool NO downloaded to my computer, I see nothing there about creating a new Drive letter.
Based on a complete misunderstanding, I'm afraid.

Please follow the sequence, and you have the tutorial.

Short version: (which I have posted numerous times):
Download iso file (or use one you have for current build) using the media creation tool
rt click iso file, click Mount
Open new drive letter in file explorer
    double click setup.exe

Yep.. dalchina's short version is the ticket.

After you click mount... it will create a new drive letter in File Explorer. Iirc it'll look like a CD/DVD drive.

    Here's my translation...

Use the Media Creation Tool to create an ISO (on your desktop).
After that, right click the ISO and choose: Mount.
Then open file explorer and double click the new CD/DVD drive, and double click: setup.exe

These 4 star Gurus, forget to speak English sometimes.

    j/k ofc

    Why does # 6 state
than one can do this simply from the MediaCreationtool downloaded on the Desktop?
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Whatever, I've began the process that way. I've not been asked yet as to whether I want my apps saved but take it that I'll be asked so when this thing downloads. Am I right or in great error?

It doesn't work as well, or as fast as it does with the ISO and MOUNT.

Do what dalchina said. He doesn't have all those stars and medals, for no reason. ^^
On this forum, he is like... a General. I'm like a corporal.

    I have 321 rep, he has 4,269 rep. ^^

Well, sure, you can do that, but if you download the iso file it's there for reattempts or reuse so you don't have to download it again... My instructions are meant to be simple and short. They are meant to make it easy for you.

So naturally they can't say all the tutorial does.

Doing the In-Place Upgrade from within the Media creation Tool... doesn't always work.
Using the Media Creation Tool to create the ISO...works every time.

And like I said, it's a LOT faster with the ISO and Mount method.

If dalchina is the General & you Ghot are the Corporal, I wonder where that leaves me. Like, I haven't even entered into the Classroom yet!
Listen boys, if going this way causes my laptop to explode in my face & I survive it, you can use this as a lesson to others - Do what the BIG guys tell ya to do unless one enjoys plumes of smoke squirting out through the exhaust vent of a seven year old ASUS Rogue!???!
I'll let ya's know how this goes if indeed there's anything left to report in from! Thanks guys for your expertise & helps. It seriously is appreciated!
