    Windows suddenly not activated

I have a cyberpower gaming pc that comes with pre-installed windows 10. Suddenly i get an "Activate Windows" watermark after about 5 months and when I go to activation settings it says "We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organizations activation server." Anyone know what I should do?

Please run Showkeyplus (free, Google) and examine the result.

Post a screenshot of Settings, About (without revealing full details of your key):

How did you buy the PC- second hand?

Does the above show you have an Enterprise edition?

    Please work through

Press the Windows key +R. In the Run Box type winver and press Enter. Which version of 10 do you have?
If you are several versions behind, anything before 1903, you need to upgrade to the newest Windows 10 version. Go to Settings/Update & Security/Windows Update, or https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 and upgrade now.

I found online reviews claiming that Cyberpower is a scam outfit.
It seems you've received a scam copy of Windows.
(This is why dalchina is asking you to show the version of Windows.)

From the behavior you're seeing, it must be a corporate version that requires a corporate licensing server to be activated.
And you cannot possibly activate it that way.

Has Windows 10 ever showed you that it was activated with a digital license?

It has on my other PC, which was preloaded with Windows 10 Home 1909 x64.

Download and run this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/sh...s/9pkvzcprx9nv to find all keys used on the PC. If it doesn’t show any key then don’t worry as this is normal if the PC came with Windows 10.
If it shows a key then please let me know - do not post the key.
Also run this to see what is currently installed & post the screenshot:Right click on start & choose powershell with admin & enter: slmgr.vbs /dlv
This will show a popup showing whether your license is OEM, Retail, or Volume amongst other information.
If this states you have a volume licence then there is away to return to a legal key if there's one in the BIOS.If it does please post back.

I have win 10 pro 1909. I'm thinkin' I'll have to go with Margraves answer. I'll probably just have to deal with it, or go buy a new copy of windows. Never getting Cyberpower again, as other things are being faulty as well for being a nearly year old PC.

If you run the cmd I posted it will tell you whether you have a fake license or not.

Cyberpower PC is not a Fake outfit. They are a computer hardware builder, specializing in Gaming computers.. They install Windows 10 Home Activated software, they are a huge company in Southern California selling thousands of computers. and could not afford to install pirated software.
I am typing on my second Cyberpower PC Desktop that I got 6 months ago to replace my first Cyberpower PC from 10 years ago.
