    Windows 10 new feature 2004 - Crashes

I have Lenovo E490 and I got a notification in windows update that a new windows 10 install and update feature 2004 is waiting, the first time i did, it corrupted install and it asked me bitlocker, after I fixed it, unsure if this feature was the cause, I have installed new feature and then my windows crashed while configuring and crashes at (See attached)
with Stop code: SYSTEM SERVICE EXEPTION
    what failed: MFEHIDK.SYS

Now I when I go to advanced and whatever I do like 1. command prompt 2. Restore 3. Uninstall feature it is asking me windows password which it does not accept. Any help will be appreciated and I have many applications running and do not want ruin many months of data for Microsoft blunders

    1. I tried to put in the backupimage drive and in advance option wanted to boot from USB ( not boot manager) it does not work, it goes back into windows
    2. I created a USB linux bootable drive and used boot manager, it detects the USB, but when I select and " Enter" the selection goes back to inbuilt

Please can you help me to the Command Prompt so that I get rid of password as per the instructions available in net.
Any help is appreciated, I called lenovo and microsoft both wanted me to do factory reset with files .. very last resort

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The MFEHIDK.SYS driver causing the blue screen of death error you should uninstall the software associated with this driver.

The MFEHIDK.SYS known as McAfee Link Driver or McAfee Inc. mfehidk or Host Intrusion Detection Link Driver belongs to software SYSCORE or McAfee Inc. mfehidk or SYSCORE.14.0.0.340.x86 by McAfee (McAfee | Security Solutions for Cloud, Endpoint, and Antivirus).

Uninstall Mcafee software using the applicable uninstall tool:

For any problems upgrading open administrative Powershell and copy and paste this script > click return > click OK > post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

@FreeBooter and @zbook thanks a lot. I am not able to get into 1. Command Prompt 2. Uninstall feature 3.Restore or I am not able to boot via USB linux so that I can remove password.
    1. Windows is asking me to enter password, but does not accept my password.
    2. When I get into F12, boot manager, I can see my USB stick with Tinycore linux but when I select it and press enter, cursor is moving back to internal boot manager. I called Lenovo and Microsoft, both want me to do factory install. :-( Please can I try any other ways before I do that as last resort. Thank you very much

Thank you, I will try but I have tried many ways, It is asking me password and when I say boot from USB, it goes back into windows.
    2. I have USB with tiny core linux already, Boot manager is showing up the USB but when I select and click enter, selection moves back to boot from ROM.

But I will try with Ubuntu too and I have lenovo USBrecovery, I will try with that.

I am not sure, why command Prompt is being controlled by Windows. Cannot I change the settings which does not let my laptop boot windows at all ?

If there is no password prompt then command line can be used to rollback windows updates.
Command line can be used to modify the misbehaving driver: MFEHIDK.SYS

Sorry but IMO this Feature update is NOT ready for prime time- revert to 1909 or 1903 if you can.

That started changing from DOS when Windows 95 was released, began merging the Disk Operating System with the GUI/Graphical User Interface. Before that it was installing DOS first then installing Windows 3.xx on that. Even Windows NT was merged into later version of Windows.
