May UPDATE has not yet arrived yet

Am I right in thinking it is not surprising that the May UPDATE has not yet become available? My Tablet PC will not have been in the first waves and I know MS is being cautious, for good reasons. I am getting impatient though, because I am struggling with some issues which I hope my be cleared by a substantial update (as has happened before) and I do not want to take any more drastic recovery measures until after the update.

Thanks for the replies. Unlike many users I look forward to updates, I like to see how the OS is evolving and expect to find some interesting developments each time. Since the launch of 10 I have successfully updated every year, in fact it has got easier. I have about 20 GB spare space now, more than enough, having found a variety of ways to release ROM. It was only problematic when space fell to 8 GB or less. But I was able to put that right. Also I pestered MS for the option to make temporary use of an external USB drive / card which should have eliminated the small storage issue, though I am not sure that it has or what the current status of this procedure is. One year I found that the integral SD card had been used during a feature update, since which I thought that small storage issues had come to an end.

I do get occasional trouble with 'freezes, slow downs and not enough resources' but I understand this is mainly due to the small RAM and other factors rather than the size of the eMMC drive. It is partly because of this, and the fact that the battery is ailing after four years of almost constant use, I am on the brink of buying a fairly similar machine with twice the RAM, a much larger eMMC, not duel boot (though this has been worthwhile) and other enhancements.

I have just taken delivery of a new Tablet PC similar to my Cube but more RAM, more ROM and other upgrades. The following day the new May update arrived (not on the Cube) and installed fine so I am now in the process of setting it up, transferring apps, etc. I had been considering a change for some time, mainly prompted by a failing battery which will not be easy to replace. The Chuwi Hi10X was released at the start of 2020. I am impressed with it so far, but it is early days.

I was influenced by an article which confirmed that Windows Security was now adequate for most users, so I ended my sub to Norton Security a year ago, I still have Malwarebytes but will probably not re-new the sub as I found in Task Manager it was the biggest drain on resources when my Cube became unresponsive or froze --- ie.'not responding'.

I must remember to revise details in My Computer.

Something you might comment on is how much space Windows 10 takes up on drive C. After the update I carried out a System Backup of C drive using Aomei ,as I have done before, and was surprised to see it took 23 GB, much more than a feature update requires, say 11 GB. But I understand (from SoftwareOK) that with the addition of subsequent updates, around 15 to 20 GB is recommended so my figure although more, is in the same region. My new PC (not dual boot this time) should be OK with this.
