    How to restore the classic System Properties page

    As of Build 20H2, you will no longer be able to get to the classic System Properties page as it has now moved to settings and does not display the full OEM INFO such as the manufactuer logo, manufacturer, system model and support link

    You can still access the classic System Properties page by creating a shortcut for it:

    1) Right click on your desktop, choose New > Shortcut

    2) Enter the following patch for the Shortcut

    Code:
    explorer.exe shell:::{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE}
    3) Name it: "System Properties"

    4) You can place it wherever you want but I find this the best place for it:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Maintenance

    Download Classic System Properties Icon

    Thanks - that and a tweak to the Start Menu seem about the most scintillating changes.. what have I missed?

    Well nothing could be worse than 2004 which IMO should have never been released with bugs ranging from internet connectivity issues to the Disk Defrag & Optimize issue which keeps getting reset after every reboot so I'll take anything really.

    Been using it for a day now and haven't had any issues. The Disk Defrag / Optimize Drives bug still haven't been fixed. After you optimize your disks, when you reboot and check, it says that it has never been run.

    None of those features jazz me that much. I've gotten used to things as they are with 2004. I've stopped auto updates for now and will just update security stuff.

    I recently received an HP Desktop with Version 1803, didn't see any problems getting it up to Version 2009/21H1 using Settings, Update and Security.
