I just got a notification from VBScript.
Even critical updates will not be installed automatically. I can choose to hide them.

I guess the one that says "Critical Updates (1)" just above the entry?

On another note I'm on 1903 with no version of Edge installed and I'm not offered it.

That pretty much agrees with PatchFluent:

oh, ok.... threw me cause I couldn't figure out what could be critical about an Edge update. From back in May.

The Edge update is definitely not critical, but M$ has categorized it as a critical update.

While writing the above sentence, I got a notification from VBScript again, and WUMT found the following:

Those "Optional" updates for drivers is WU show up in WAU. In WU, they are certainly not intended to be installed just because they are there. And they are certainly not the most current. If you hide them in WUA, the whole thing disappears in WU.

The 2004 feature update disappeared from my WU. Now it shows on WUMT.
The feature update is no longer optional. It would have been installed automatically if it hadn’t been for the scripts.
