    KB4565351 and/or KB4569751 DrasticallyIncreased Load Time

    Win-10 Pro, v 1909, Build 18363
As Title states. These updates -- on 8/12/2020 -- have greatly increased my startup load time.
Any suggestions to get it back / troubleshoot why?

Hi, in the News article for KB4565351 and KB4569751 and comments following

    KB4565351 CU Win 10 v1903 build 18362.1016 and v1909 build 18363.1016

    KB4569751 Cumulative Update .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 Windows 10 Aug. 11

nothing is found for 'slow boot' or 'boot time'.

Have you had any driver updates around the same time? (e.g. Update History, bottom).

Analysis of boot time can be performed using the Windows Performance Analyser / Recorder (free from MS) - a rather technical and detailed tool providing graphical representations, but offputting for first users. You can see examples if you search tenforums with screenshots.

How long is your boot time, how much has it increased, and what sort of disk is your system disk?

If you uninstall 1 of these, does the boot time improve?

My Dell laptop has a drive not recognized = long boot time

greetings, I am experiencing a similar problem today.

After experiencing the dramatically increased load time I noticed that my D drive is not being recognized so you might check that. I have a C drive solid state that it boots from and the D drive is mainly for storage.

    I have a Dell Inspiron 15-7559 laptop. win 10 home, version 1909, build 18363.1016

I got the update last night, but also my dang cat knocked it off of a table yesterday. It was still on when I opened it and I used the internet for several hours and it was working ok but I don't recall using the storage or checking the D drive.

When I got ready to shut down it gave me the update notice and I chose "update & shut down" - it was taking a while to shut down so I left it to finish the update and went to sleep. This morning I noticed the problem of loooong boot time.

So, I'm not sure if the drop to the floor caused my problem, or the update.

I can get'er fixed myself & don't necessarily need help, but wanted to alert you and maybe see if your drives are recognized and see if you have a dell laptop?

Problems are cited against KB4565351, but I've yet to see mention of slow boot.

You could try uninstalling the update and restart of course. (Best to do so with no internet connection to ensure it's not reapplied).

Unlucky with the cat- fortunately mine is quite careful and never even treads on the keys.

I saw this after KB4569751 was installed. .NET Runtime Optimization was sucking system resources badly. After it had apparently exhausted what it was queued to do, things settled down and boot time and program load time returned to normal. Took some time to do so. Hope this helps.

Brought system down last night and just started up few minutes ago.
Boot load time now eems to be about what it was before update
Sadly didn't have a before / after measurement or sense to check resource usage before.
Made note to do so before next update.

Will consider thread closed and things back to normal -- whatever normal is with Win-10.
