Windows updates empty for a long time now

    Hi

It seems that something happened with the Windows update.
Not long time ago I did see 2005 update waiting for me along with other updates.
I updated everything except for 2005, I wanted to wait a while before installing it.
A week or so ago, I noticed that 2005 update is gone from the list and also no new updates are available. It says that my Windows is up to date. No error no nothing.

The history shows that the last update happened on June 10th 2020 and nothing since. Any idea what might went wrong?
    Thanks

The latest Version is actually 2004. Some computers are not yet being offered the Upgrade from Version 1909 or earlier. I was given a computer that was passworded which was lost but I was able to get it working with Version 1803. I used the MCT/Media Creation Tool to get the download Bootable USB Thumb drive, takes a little while for the process to wipe out the data on the thumb drive then format and create. It uses FAT32 so I use a 16GB, can store some other files on it. With Win10 running I open File Explorer, locate the setup.exe file on that thumb drive and install, possible to do an Upgrade from it.

The MCT file is saved and double-clicked to run, goes to a Microsoft site to make choices and start the creation process, a few choices there to make.

I know of that tool but because the update was there and then disappeared and also no new updates are available since, I think the problem is deeper as if it doesn't find any updates but also doesn't show any errors.

I saw that happen a week ago on a Vizio CA24t All-in-One after getting it fully up to Version 1909, tried to do the Upgrade to Version 2004 twice then was not offered again, so I did the USB drive thing, working good. Had another computer that kept saying it would be coming but never did, used the USB again [I keep the download on a USB drive for portability].

Start by running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

    Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot

    Nothing was found.
Not sure if related but I found this: Windows 10 says my device is up to date, but it doesn't have this month's security update - Super User

Before making any changes, does it sound related?
I did notice that Security intelligence updates for Microsoft Defender Antivirus and other Microsoft antimalware is being updated but that's the only thing that is happening...

Are you using any tools like Windows Update MiniTool, or Windows Automatic Updates Manager?

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update

On the right-side window, where the Check for updates button is, click on the link above that labeled View configured update policies.

Post a screen shot of the entries in the Policies set on your device section.

I think Metered Connection being turned on is the issue.

Actually it was off and I turned it on as part of my testing.
Anyway, I now switched it off again and it's the same thing.
