    571 Informational Events, What?

2nd system is about a week old and for 3 consecutive days the same 388 updates keep showing up in the reliability monitor. Whats up with that?

    Here is the update history:

SFC comes back OK and I've run Checkdisk with no errors. As far as I can tell there are no problems with the PC but I've never see this kind of constant updating before. Any thoughts?

UPDATE 1: There are now 517 informational events. The same series of informational evens have repeated now 3 times. What the heck is going on?

UPDATE 2: Last night I removed the two Net Framework Updates but this morning about 30 minutes after I turned on the PC another 129 information events happened. Very puzzled. At this point I'm looking a doing a factory image reset. Any help would be appreciated to avoid reinstalling tons of games.

Update 3: I found a with a post about a problem very similar to mine from @larrymcg on 2016-07-09 titled "Installer Reconfiguring Lots of Products Every Day" but no solution was ever found. I did find other information that suggests this is caused by conflicts between installers (msi's) where they work against each other. They periodically wake up and try it overwrite each other reeconfigurations. Here are some links if anyone is interested:
windows - What could be causing MsiInstaller to continuously reconfigure applications(EventID 1035)? - Server Fault
wix - How can I determine what causes repeated Windows Installer self-repair? - Stack Overflow

This appears to me to fit the description of what's happening to my PC.

Since most of the game related software I’ve installed has been installed on other PCs that I own I’m thinking the likely misbehaving software is probably one or more of the Dell/Alienware specific support programs. There are about 6 of those including the especially buggy Alienware Control Center that known to have issues.

Update 4: After removing all of the Dell/Alienware crap-ware and disabling their related services, the PC has run for 4 hours with no reconfiguration entries in the Reliability Monitor. Sweet Success! The issue was poorly written software. I’ll continue to monitor this for the next few days just to be sure.

In hindsight, I should have opened the box, run a full Macrium image, backup the drivers, and done a clean install. I would have saved a few days of aggravation. Lesson learned.
