Am I forced to upgrade?

Does anyone have a successful update to 2004?

Done 90 clients so far no issues.

Opinion tends towards caution- one only has to search for
problems 2004 Windows
Ok, you might argue that will always find something.

This suggests it's not being actively offered by Windows Update.

Current status as of June 16, 2020
Windows 10, version 2004 is available for users with devices running Windows 10, versions 1903 and 1909, who manually seek to “Check for updates” via Windows Update. We are continuing our phased approach on initial availability, as we listen, learn, and adjust. Today we are slowly beginning the training of our machine learning (ML) based process used to intelligently select and automatically update devices approaching end of service. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.

In 1909, when 2004 is offered, you will need to positively accept it. It should not be forced upon you.

There are, as you might have noted, quite a number of reports on tenforums from users who have experienced problems and chosen to revert. Others have noted they have been advised their 'PC is not quite ready' - i.e. there's some incompatibility.

Others have found no problems.

In particular, if you have a SSD, you need to stop it being trimmed daily with 2004.

I posted a youtube video link recently about that in the News item Known and Resolved Issues for 2004 which some have found helpful.

This is only relevant to combat a bug MS still seems not to have even acknowledged for people using build 2004.

Best not to upgrade yet. 2004 most likely adds nothing you need.

Been getting the Version 2004 Upgrade on Intel CPUs but not being offered or available on AMD CPUs.
