Please note that
you must choose the correct Language, Edition and Architecture
that your device is currently running.
Windows 10 Setup automatically detects current settings, but if you need to change these, clear the Use the recommended option for this PC checkbox.
For edition and hardware architecture, keyboard shortcut WINDOWS KEY+PAUSE/BREAK opens
System Properties window. Alternatively, right-click
This PC in Start screen/Start menu, File Explorer, or on the Desktop and select Properties.
See the
Windows edition section for Pro/non-Pro (Windows 8.1) or Pro/Home (Windows 10) information. Architecture is listed in the
System section: check whether the
System Type line reads "64-bit Operating System" or "32-bit Operating System".
To find out which language your device came installed with, open Start screen or menu, type "powershell" and launch Windows PowerShell. In the dark blue window, type [CultureInfo]::InstalledUICulture and press Enter key.
Please note that
downloading Windows setup in a wrong language does not allow non-destructive reinstallation, the option will be grayed out.
