    Update Delay

    Windows 10 Pro-16bit v1909.

    Hello again,

Windows tells me I am up-to-date. v2004 'is on its way. It's been on
its way for over 2 months now with no sign of it being installed.

I have not paused updates. Check for Updates tells me only that I'm up-to-date and that 2004 is on its way.

Is a two-month delay normal or is there some other problem ?

I don't particularly want to force it, as there's nothing in 2004 that I want or
    need.

The other machine updated normally a month ago.

    Regards

    Nordland

Hi, 2004 has various problems. This sort of question is repeatedly asked.

    a. MS has a phased roll-out strategy over several months prioritising lower risk PCs.
    b. It's getting bad press- just search for
    2004 problems

Be patient, and watch the news and the thread per build in the News section:

Yes, the Known Issues link dalchina gave you will show that some machines with particular hardware/software will not get the update offered until Microsoft has resolved those issues.

I don't particularly want to force it, as there's nothing in 2004 that I want or need.

Don't force it, wait for MS to say it's ready for your machine. To be honest, on my machines that have updated I'm hard pressed to see anything significantly new over what was in 1909.

I'm on 1909 and also had the "on its way" message for the 2004 update for quite awhile. But about a week ago, that message disappeared. Now, when I hit "Check for updates", it comes back with "You're up to date".

So, the 2004 update is no longer delayed for me, and yet I can't download it?

Just be patient.. the number of issues reported vs 2004 is growing.
