Tomorrow (July 14, 2020) is Patch Tuesday

Might want to disable updates before tomorrow!

I used to always apply patches the day that they were released, but seeing how Microsoft seems to break more things than they fix recently, I'm definitely delaying any updates until I understand what they break this time and how it might affect me.

Still, I know that there those of you who won't be able to resist, so for for those who do apply patches tomorrow, I'd love to hear how it goes for you

WU is paused until 10/15/2020 on my system. Good luck to all those bleeding edge aficionados out there.

As my system is pretty well dorked......I will install the patch. If that doesn't settle some things down. I'll be going back to 1909.

Glad to hear it's working well for you. I still have not installed the June updates yet. I may take the dive and do a round of updates early next week if I hear of no major issues.

I also installed it on 1909, 2004 is still not offered on my system aka "its coming and we will tell you when its ready", short text at any rate.

Anyway, no problems here, its a small patch it seems.

Something is wrong with the computers in my house that I haven't been able to figure out. I've got 5 laptops and desktops that are completely up to date and don't have any problems with any of them:

I feel cheated. Everyone has all these problems with these horrible Windows updates and my computers just work.

My computers are all doing fine as well, it's just that I somehow seem to have an almost unnatural knack for finding bugs. If there is a bug out there, even if it is one of those where it only happens if 10 different conditions are met, I will somehow stumble upon it .

That's how a lot of these patch Tuesday issues seem to be - things that only affect a small subset of people. I guess I'm just a little paranoid because I do tend to do a lot of things that maybe the average person is not doing.
