Failure to upgrade -presumably with an error code or message? - is quite different to new issues being experienced following a successful installation. Any build of Win 10 can fail to install on a given system and roll back for a wide variety of reasons.
Yes, I understand all of that. Repeatedly the install phase completes 100% then after restart the "Preparing...." stage aborts and rolls back. The dump shows that setuphost.exe/setupplatform.dll crash due to a reference to memory addr zero.

I'm Definitely NOT Impressed. Windows 2004 will not install.

I'm sitting this update out to see if it improves.

i just got the 2004 and it's d/l ing as i speak. given the comments here i think i should abort it - how do i do that? i've put a pause on all updates, how do i just cancel the 2004 one?

Edit - take i solved it myself - whilst trying stuff i reactivated downloads to try something and it seems to have gone back to the message to download and install, rather than picking up from the 19% or so i'd already downloaded.
