You have to lock the "SwReporter" folder before installing Chrome. Otherwise, the folder cannot be locked.
Download Lock the ''SwReporter'' folder.zip and extract the files.
Just double-click on Lock the ''SwReporter'' folder.cmd.
NSudoCx64 applies to 64-bit Windows. It is needed there, but you don't have to run it.

WU installed it in the background without notice, and I was not aware until I went to shut the PC down.
This occurred on 2 Windows 10 Home machines. On my Pro version I have not had the program installed, or offered, in any way (yet). It could be because on the registry hack, or my Group Policy settings.
Or it could be that MS finally woke up.
My Windows Update MiniTool has not found the new browser, so I have no way to hide it. Actually, I have clicked on neither "No, thanks" nor "Download now" at the bottom of the Edge window.

...but 'lucky' machines are also seeing Chromium Edge as an update in Windows Update - and if it appears there it's a required update, not an optional one. There's no discernible pattern to how Microsoft select who gets it - seems to be random.

I got the new Edge thru 1909 WU about a month ago. I checked it out briefly but when scrolling anything it's very jerky. I had the same issue with the old Edge and switched to Firefox. Anyone know how to smooth out the scrolling in Edge?
New Edge would have imported settings from Old Edge, so it's no surprise that an issue can carry over.
Firefox and Chromium Edge scroll the same for me. Check your Edge's Settings > System > Use hardware acceleration when available. Try turning it off (or on) and see if it makes any difference.
I just checked and hardware acceleration was on so I turned it off and it made no difference. Thanks for the reply.
