What is the risk if I still don't receive the Win Update 2004

    Hello,

What is the risk for online banking, online shopping if my computer isn't quite ready for Win Update 2004?

    Thanks

If you're on 1909, very little difference. The same security patches will be in the monthly cumulative updates for 2004 and 1909. You should be just as secure until your 1909 reaches end of support on May 11, 2021.

But sooner or later my computer will receive the Win Update 2004?

    Thanks

There should be no added risks until the windows version loses support.
There could be increased risks upgrading.

The update to 2004 is entirely optional, it won't install unless you click the 'download and install' link in Windows Update. Only when your 1909 is at or within a couple of months of end of support will you be updated automatically.

No difference if you use a supported version of Windows 10 and keep it and your antivirus up to date.

i've done check for Updates on both my machines and all i've got is that annoying Edge update, any reason i'm not seeing the optional update to 2004? Still on 1909 on both machines.

There may be a known blocking issue for your particular hardware/software. There's a list here:
Known and Resolved issues for Windows 10 May 2020 Update version 2004

But I wouldn't worry about not seeing the 2004 update yet. There's nothing significantly new in 2004 and your 1909 will be supported and continue to get all the latest security fixes until 2021.
