How can I determine why build 2004 is not arriving by WU?

    Hi all -

    Here's a interesting question...

If I force a WU for build 2004 and it doesn't come, how can I easily determine what is holding it back?
Is there a silent rejection log or a list of what WU is exactly checking for regarding new builds?

I've been using this in the meantime:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...indows-10-2004

    Thanks.

It is clearly stated that the update is hold back because "my PC is not yet ready"; I honestly do not know how to persuade my PC to do prepare itself and be ready for windows; maybe also your PC is unwilling to be ready and is preventing windows to be upgraded.

well my father's old Toshiba C55Dt-A laptop became "ready" to receive the 2004 feature update after June patch Tuesday (June 9) with the Download & Install option for 2004 listed in WU - and I have already updated the graphics & audio drivers on there (installed recent 2020 versions of those AMD graphics & Realtek audio drivers)

before 6/9, the 2004 update would not even show up on WU on the Toshiba laptop

edit - Compumind & roy111 - did you update your audio and graphics drivers on your computers and are they the most recent 2020 versions of those drivers?

I have that on my desktop. Must be something software, on mine, as I dual boot with the Insider versions and I just updated, yesterday, to the latest fast ring version. The Insider versions have no problem.

You can always download the iso via the media creation tool and install manually.
