    (KB4560960) - Error 0x800f0900 -> CBS.log

    (KB4560960) - Error 0x800f0900 -> CBS.log-system.jpg

    Following some instructions found to troubleshoot the error listed in the thread title, I ran the scannow, with these results:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc/scannowBeginning system scan. This process will take some time.Beginning verification phase of system scan.Verification 100% complete.Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located atwindir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offlinerepairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
    I did not find any OFFLOGFILE flags (searching for the text OFFLOGFILE). I'm not sure how I should proceed.

    CBS file attached.

    Any suggestions?

    Seems there should be a way to copy the text and paste it in the format that retains the newline / returns, so it would be more readable.

    First scannow:
    Code:
    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

    Restorehealth:
    Code:
    Error: 0x800f081fThe source files could not be found.

    Second scannow:
    Code:
    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

    Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

    Find the new text file on the desktop > post a share link into the thread

    Post share links for:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
    C:\Windows\Logs\Dism\Dism.log

    Links to files below:

    SFCDetails

    CBS.LOG

    DISM.LOG

    On creating the Windows 10 bootablel 1901 ISO, I'm wanting to explicitly follow your instructions. But I'm not finding clear info on the downloads. For example:

    Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10 - This only links to a 2004 build

    Windows Download - #1 Windows ISO Download Source - This only links to 1707

    Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool - This downloader tool will likely work. But it displays the download options like this:

    (KB4560960) - Error 0x800f0900 -> CBS.log-windows-10.png

    I'm not sure which one to select to explicitly meet your instructions for 1909.

    The highlight and mouse are on Windows 10 1909 Home/Pro
    This should correspond to the installed version 18362.

    Full response to yoru post #4 here. I apparently failed earlier to upload the BSOD file

    SFCDetails

    CBS.LOG

    DISM.LOG

    BSOD attached.

    I'm currently creating the boot disk for 1909.

    The logs did not display any BSOD.
    There were no collected dump files.
    If there is a BSOD then take a picture and post images into the thread.

    Indicate any
    a) installed antivirus other than Microsoft defender
    b) third party software firewall
    c) drive encryption sotware

    I have do not have any BSODs.

    Using Microsoft Defender; no third party firewall; no file encryption.

    I'll have to read through your linked instructions and proceed. I booted from the 1909 ISO, and went into repair Windows, but the only 'repair' I saw was to repair boot problem.

    Will probably be tomorrow before I get to that. I'll post how it goes

    For an in place upgrade repair you should not boot the iso.

    Instead, boot normally.

    Then insert the bootable Windows 10 iso into any USB port.

    Then open file explorer and follow the text and images in the tutorial.
