My Microsoft Account has my laptop listed as SIX (6) separate devices!

I wanted to check my Microsoft Account (MSA) to see if BOTH my retail Windows licenses were in fact associated / linked to my account. And I was both amused and horrified to see this when I chose the "Devices" tab of my Microsoft Account:

Forget for the moment the two virtual machines. The fact is that the single physical laptop appears in my account as 6 different physical machines. As far as I am aware, I have not substantially changed the hardware at all, beyond upgrading the amount of RAM, since I bought the laptop. Of course I will click on "Manage" to see if I can somehow distingush these machines. But I shouldn't really be able to, i think. There is only one laptop.

what is the right thing for me to do in this case? I haven't been accused of violating any EULA (yet), But I worry that if MS thinks I have 6 physical machimes, I can understand why they would expect me to have six lisences. I don't want to find myself cut off because of some weird bugs in how MS counts individual machines.

    Thanks for any sage advice

Try "Sign in with a local account instead" and see whether they are still listed there.

Have you clean installed Windows in the past?

Over time my account had gotten up to 12 machines but fortunately for me I had named each one for better identification on my home network, easy to remove when no longer needing.

I've got like 20 or 30 devices on my MSA. I don't personally consider it anything to be concerned about.
