WU KB4556799 fails at Inst. 100% Error 0x80071160 (DISM log attached)

Have tried everything to get this update to work on my 2nd boot drive O: and it always fails at 100% with the above error code.

From what I gather searching for answers is that it is a problem to do with the Alienware branding.
In which case, Microsoft needs to smarten up.
I've told WU to delay by 7 days to give me a chance to find out what's up.
Why would my C: (Main) drive update without issue and my 2nd (Test) drive (O:) not?
    DISM log attached.

Sometimes, most of us when in a rush to fix our issue, we forget a quintessential step, that is to do a full system image backup.
With that being said, I don't really know your OS setup, but I would suggest:
-To disconnect all external HDDs and disable your McAfee total protection
    -Run sfc /scannow
-Troubleshoot Windows Update. If that doesn't help, you can also try to reset Windows Update:

-Lastly, you can also try this link where the same issue seems to have been resolved:

I do backups - but probably not often enough.
    I disconncted my external drive.
    I disabled McAfee A/V.
I ran sfc /scannow twice, each time it said it couldn't complete.
I ran sfc fix as per that link, twice.
    The update still fails.
I'll probably end up formatting this drive as it isn't my main one and is just becoming a nuisance.
    Thanks for your help anyway.

@ Ex_Brit, I don't know if this will help you, but it might be worth a try? https://windows101tricks.com/windows...ls-to-install/

Thanks. I've tried all those fixes. It's only my secondary system so really not that important.

Are you using McAfee Total Protection on your "secondary system" too?

Sorry to hear that my suggestions did not work. You can always try a Repair Install on that drive:\O. Or as you said, if it is not that important, you can format the drive taking care to remove beforehand any important data on it.

    Cheers and good luck!

Yes I am. I get it for free so it was the obvious pick for me.
I've been using it for years now.

Yes it is a shame. I will try an in-place upgrade using a complete system disk.
    Maybe later today.

Question, in a "repair" install does Win10 allow for a choice of which system to use? (In my case C: or O:) or do I have to do it when logged into my O: drive?
