Please see updated previous post. There's little point in doing the above. You'd have to download a 1903 iso and manually upgrade, then let Windows Update do the rest. And you haven't been offered 1903 either, so there's no reason to think that would help.
Would me updating the Bios be the reason i can't even restart my laptop i have to turn it off then back on it always gets stuck on the msi logo everytime
not tried to update the bios no, ive just ordered a usb flash drive so that I can do it, I was just saying I cannot just restart my laptop It gets stuck on the msi logo, that's been the case for ages I didn't know if I is relevent
It was turned on but turned it off and tried to restart it and it gets stuck still :@
Given your SFC failure you might try an 1809 in-place upgrade repair install as I described above. Tutorial available. Keeps all progs, data and most settings.
To download an 1809 iso you can use the
Heidoc iso downloader
So i tried what you said it got to this point and said we cannot tell if you got enough space ?
I believe the exact text is "We can't tell if your PC has enough space to continue"
(The exact text of error message can help getting accurate search results).
I'm going to guess this refers to your Recovery partition, which has a curious name.
Check whether it's functional by trying to boot to Advanced Startup options e.g. a command prompt or Safe Mode starting with
SHIFT + left click a Restart button
and after a restart following the prompts. I'm guessing this will not succeed.
Also try
This could also relate to your upgrade failing of course.
