    install Win 10 on 100 GB ssd without touching windows on the hdd ?


    Can i install win 10 on 100 gb ssd without disturbing my 1 tb hd with windows 10 already on that ?
    i want to install on this small ssd, and keep all my files on the main drive as storage .
    then id format that drive eventually later.
    am i missing something , is this possible ?

    Sure it is possible but non-portable programs will need to be reinstalled on SSD.

    1) Disconnect HDD

    2) Boot from usb installation drive

    3) Install Windows on SSD

    4) Set bios to boot from SSD.

    5) Reconnect HDD.

    Indicate whether you do or do not have problems with the users folders.
    Did you use the same or different users name on the SSD installation.

    Watch out for boot problems since you will have active partitions on both drives.
