    Windows 10 Upgrade 2020

    Hi Guys,

It's been a long time since I was last chatting here, nice to be back, had to re register as I couldn't see a 'Forgotten Password' link, anyway I found a resolution to an issue I was having with Windows starting up through the night after sleep or hibernating, was a Maintenance Schedule.

But I do think I am loosing my marbles over an update, I was told I had an update to 2020 so it downloaded it, ran the update after restarting a few times and hey presto after running winver I was still on 1909!

    Am I loosing it?

    Regards,

    Dave G

Ummm.....the next Windows version is not 2020, though. It is 2004.

    Hi there
Has networking browsing via File explorer been fixed when NON Windows devices e.g some NAS boxes are on the LAN. This was an issue with this version.

    Cheers

No, but I think you may have misread what it was you were being offered. I suspect it looked like this....

    Windows 10 Upgrade 2020-image.png

...which is not (as you may have thought) the anticipated 'Windows 10 version 2004 May 2020 Update' but rather it's just a cumulative update for your current 1909. The '2020-04' in the name merely indicates the year/month the cumulative update was released.

Check what yor Winver says. If it is build 18363.815 then you definitely clicked 'Download now' for that kb4550945 update. For confirmation that my suspicions are correct look at your update history. It will show the date you downloaded it under Quality updates, that's probably the day you thought you might be getting '2020'.
